日本の病院でも外国人患者増えてきていますね。
海外からの旅行者も増加しているし中国からは日本の診療ツアーとかあるようです。東京オリンピックの時はもっと外国人が増えるだろうから、病院でも英語を話す機会が増える気がします！
そこで、今日は整形外科の診察の時に使える英語を説明します。

整形外科でよくある問診を英語で尋ねる
ex)今日はどうしましたか？
Why did you visit here?
What’s happened to you?
が一般的です。病院に来た原因、きっかけを確認します。
ex)いつ受傷しましたか？
When（What is time) did you get injured?
injurey=怪我、傷
get injured=怪我を負う、受傷する
受傷してからどのくらいの時間が経過したかを尋ねるときに使います。
ex)指先に痺れはありますか？痛みは強くなっていますか？
Do you have the numbness at your fingertips?
Is the pain getting stronger?
numbness=痺れ
fingertips=指の先端
getting stronger=徐々に強くなる
整形外科では痺れの確認は頻回にすると思います。
痺れの英単語numbnessは重要単語です。
getting+比較級は症状の変化を尋ねるときに便利なフレーズです。
Is your headache getting worse?など。
ex)医師の診察をお待ちください。
Please wait to be seen by a doctor.

レントゲン検査を受けるとき
ex)レントゲン検査に行きます。
検査技師の指示にしたがって下さい。
いくつかポーズをとって撮影します。撮影の間は動かないで下さい。
You are going to do X-ray examination.
Please follow a laboratory technician’s instruction.
You need changing the pose. Please cooperate so as not to move on taking X-ray.
レントゲン検査は整形疾患で１番頻度の高い検査です。
整形外科で撮影するときは色んな角度から撮影をするため時間もかかりますし患者さんの協力が不可欠です。
レントゲン検査の流れや注意点の説明もできるとかっこいいですね！
ギプス固定後、自宅療養となるとき
ex)シャワーを浴びるときはギプスが濡れないようにビニール袋で覆うなどして下さい。
When you take a shower, it is covered with a plastic bag so as not to get wet the cast.
cover with=覆う
get wet=濡れる
cast, plaster=ギプス
be in the cast(plaster)=ギプスをはめる
ex)日中は三角巾で右手を固定しましょう。就寝時は外して下さい。
You should fit with sling width on daytime. Get rid of it when you go to bed.
fit=固定する
sling width=三角巾
get rid of=取り除く、外す
ex)指先が動くかどうか、痺れの有無を毎日確認しましょう。
指先の感覚が鈍くなったり、変色するなど変化があったときにはすぐに受診
してください。
Check your finger’s moving and the numbness every day.
If the feeling of the fingertips get dull or the color of them change to purple, you have to go to hospital right away.
get dull=鈍くなる
getは幅広い使い方ができます。
手に入れるという意味が知られていますが、～なるという変化を表すときのも使いますので覚えておきましょう。
ex)ギプスは約2か月後に外します。その後はリハビリが必要です。
Your cast will remove about two month later. After that, you need to undergo rehabilitation.
remove=外す（get rid ofと一緒の意味です）
undergo=受ける、耐える、経験する
外傷や整形疾患は手術を必要とする場合も多いです。
入院時の説明もできるようになると完璧ですね！

ex)骨折により腫れがひどくなると神経が圧迫されます。
予防のために挙上し、冷やすことを続けて下さい。
The nerves are compressed when the swelling becomes severe due to fracture.
Please raise it and continue to cool down for prevention.
ex)痛みが強い時は教えて下さい。鎮痛剤を飲むことができます。
Please tell me when the pain is getting stronger. You can take a painkiller tablet.
ex)褥瘡予防のために2時間毎に体位変換をします。動かすと痛いと思いますが、ご協力ください。
